Our client is a leading construction company operating across the South West and South Wales and nationally for strategic customers. They are specialist constructors in Retail, Distribution, Education, Local General Contracting and Social Housing employing in the region of 400 staff.
The Role
Within the group they have a General Contracts Division, which has performed consistently well over the last three years. The team has been very successful in the MoD Defence market and the current team has been able to achieve consistency in delivery that has established a reputation in the South West area.
They have an immediate need for a site based No.1 Project Manager to take control of the delivery of MOD new build & refurbishment projects throughout the South West.
Initially you will be specifically responsible for the on site delivery of a £7.5m refurbishment and extension to an accommodation residency on a MoD barracks.
The Person
* It is essential you have a proven track record as a Project Manager with a reputable main contractor and can demonstrate the ability to delivery projects as a number one on site.
* Experience on New Build projects in the £5m - £10m bracket is also essential.
* Previous defence / MoD construction experience is also preferable with previous or current security clearance an obvious advantage.
* Preconstruction planning experience is also required enabling you to provide support in the bid process before taking the project to site to start up stage.
* A proven track record in employer loyalty is also essential which shows evidence of being retained from contract to contract.
